U.S. Maritime Security Advisories
U.S. Maritime Advisory 2023-003 was released advising of threats to commercial vessels due to regional conflict and military activity in the Persian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz, Gulf of Oman, Arabian Sea, Gulf of Aden, Bab al Mandeb Strait, Red Sea, and Somali Basin. The advisory describes the highest threats as explosive unmanned ariel vehicles,
US Marine Transportation Decarbonization Strategy (Under Development)
The US released the “US National Blueprint for Transportation Decarbonization which intended to outline a comprehensive strategy for decarbonizing the transportation sector that will guide future policy decisions as well as research, development, technology demonstration and deployment in the public and private sectors. Upon review of this document, CSA and a number of our
American Port Access Privileges Act (HR 1013)
As expected, Rep. John Garamendi (D-CA) has reintroduced the American Port Access Privileges Act (previously introduced last Congress) to the new Congressional session. Â While the text of the bill has not yet been published on the Congressional website, the bill, HR 1013, is expected to contain identical/similar text to the bill introduced last session.Â
